Restructure and rehabilitation project from Pesaka Technologies Sdn Bhd with the 21-year Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreement (REPPA), facilitated by KPMG.
In 2015, the plant granted SEDAFIT REPPA rate from Small Renewable Energy Power (SREP) Programme, upgrading generation allowed from 10MW to 12MW.
The project excludes forestry activities, focusing only on developing an access road to the project site, which is less than 5 hectares. Despite the small size, the project management is committed to taking precautions to minimize environmental impact.
The proposed project does not involve any water storage or dam construction for the purpose of electricity generation.
It is a small-scale run-of-river hydropower plant generating electricity that is sold to the country’s national grid(TNB). The installed capacity is 12MW while maximum output capacity of the project is 10 MW (until 2015), employing 2 vertical impulse Pelton turbines.
